Description
We will be exploring the book When Helping Hurts in preparation for a 12 day missions based trip to Karatu, Tanzania, Africa. We will read When Helping Hurts to wrestle with some of the hardest questions missions & charities face. Each week we discuss that weeks chapter while preparing for the mission trip with the non-profit Food for His Children. In Tanzania time will be shared between meeting families & projects that may include: building, making a charcoal cooler, install gutter systems for water collection, pave walkways, set up irrigation, expanding the aquaponic growing system, and more. These projects will be completed by employees, families, & the US team working & learning together. Additional field projects with families may include ministering to families, farming, gardening, listening to their stories & praying with them.
