Finding Hope after a Terminal, Chronic, or Mental Illness Diagnosis

Description

Hi! I'm Caitlin Determan. I'm 35 years old and currently live in Ham Lake, where I also grew up. In April of 2023, I was found to have extremely elevated liver enzymes. After a series of changing anxiety meds, lots and lots of testing and appointments, and a couple of appointments through the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (an extremely rare/autoimmune liver disease that will lead to the need of a liver transplant.) This was an EXTREMELY SCARY thing to hear and learn how to process. How does one process a diagnosis like this?! I can definitely say that I have not fully processed it, as that will probably be ongoing. However, I can say that I have found Hope in knowing that "It Ain't Over," (per Ed Dobson's story,) and that God is in control. Ed's story is made up of 5 short sessions. ***First meeting will be on Sunday, June 1st at 6:30PM at the Groups Kick Off Night at the Ham Lake campus. ***
